Dog Friendly

UPDATE 2017: It is no longer legal for restaurants to allow dogs on their premises – even on patios. Restaurants in Solebury twp. still can have dogs on patios.

Looking to bring your dog on a visit to the Delaware? Unfortunately, your dining choices will be severely limited due to laws limiting pets in dining establishments. However, a number of restaurants have outdoor patios where dogs are permitted. Some even have water dishes for your hot dog!

Note that this list is subject to change due to local regulations and the desires of the restaurant owners. It’s strongly recommended that you call ahead to ensure that your  pets will be welcome.

New Hope

NONE permitted in the borough. See note above

Duck Soup Cafe – (Located in Solebury) A really cute patio out back where you can enjoy one of the best breakfasts or lunches around with your fuzzy friend. Park on the Giant side parking area so you don’t have to walk through the restaurant with your dog (which is illegal). For more information on Duck Soup, check out their featured Hidden Gem post.

Lambertville

Cafe Galleria – This beautiful converted house has a wraparound deck where you can dine with your dog. They’re also an excellent place to dine with options that appeal to every palate.

DeAnna’s – Hidden away on N. Franklin Street, Deanna herself and her partner, Lisa, love dogs, which can often be found with their masters enjoying an excellent classic Italian dinner on their patio.

Hamilton’s Grill Room – With a beautiful hidden patio, hidden down a lane labeled “Pork Yard”, Hamilton’s is happy to have you enjoy one of their delicious steaks with your dog. If you haven’t heard of Hamilton’s, be sure to look it up – it’s one of the top dining destinations in the area.

Lambertville House – One of the hidden gems of Lambertville. The courtyard is a great little oasis behind the Inn. I’ve raved about the Monday night dinners that Dish catering puts on. But never thought of bringing the girls along.

Lambertville Station Restaurant – Outdoor deck by the canal makes for pleasant dining with your best friend.

Center Bridge, PA / Stockton, NJ

Dilly’s Corner – A perennial favorite ice cream and burger joint.

NoLa by Brian – Outside seating available. Have a delicious meal then take a walk across the bridge to Dilly’s for an ice cream 🙂

Stockton Farm Market – While you can’t take them in, they can join you for a treat at one of the couple tables out front.
